The Phenol - Acetone business unit has two production sites, Huelva (Spain) and Shanghai (China), both using state-of-the-art technologies. We are the world's largest cumene producer and the second largest phenol & acetone producer. We also produce Alpha-Methylstyrene.

Acetone

Cepsa acetone is a co-product of the phenol production via cumene route. It is a volatile and flammable liquid and it is soluble in water.

Pharma Acetone

Pharma grade acetone is the resulting co-product in the production of phenol via cumene. This grade of acetone complies with the current European Pharmacopoeia.
