Nextphenol / phenol

NextPhenol BC Is a hydroxybenzene that incorporates certified secondary raw materials from biomass waste, while maintaining the same technical specifications as its fossil counterpart.

NextPhenol C is a hydroxybenzene that incorporates certified secondary raw materials from industrial waste, generally plastics, and maintains the same specifications as its fossil counterpart.

NextPhenol – R is a hydroxybenzene that incorporates certified renewable raw materials and maintains the same specifications as its fossil counterpart.

The primary use of phenol is the production of BPA, an intermediate product in the manufacture of polycarbonate and epoxy resins. It is also used in the production of Caprolactam en route to Nylon 6 and for the production of phenolic resins. Other applications range from insulation and coatings to medicines, disinfectants and even food additives.

Phenol 90% is a dilution of phenol with 10% of water content. In turn, phenol is the result of splitting cumene hydroperoxide with sulfuric acid. Before this, cumene is obtained through an alkylation of benzene with propylene in a solid bed catalyst.
